Why Government of India (GOI) keeps beating around the bush??? It is pretty known fact that salaried class is the least tax-evading class and also pays tax on salaries. Still GOI keeps changing the forms, which is akin to harassing the salaried citizens with no substantial gain. The GOI pretty much knows what are the loopholes in the direct tax collections. Why do not they put their hands on rich farmers?
Taxes in India need to be less paperwork- oriented and less bureaucratic. So people do not try to evade taxes due to mind-boggling process.
